An Engineering and Management graduate, he served 21 years in the Army and had active participation in the Bangladesh War (1971). Later,as Chief Engineer (DRDO),he created strategic assets for the country.
A mentor to the team, Sir is the ocean-bed on which rests the edifice of Coral. Simple at core, he instills values of integrity and discipline across rank and file. Behind the quiet exterior, lies a sharp mind which misses hardly anything.
After completing her MBA, Priyanka started her career with Quantum Market Research – a long stint which involved working across industries, international markets and her rising to the role of General Manager, Delhi branch. In 2010 she set up Coral Research Services, which helped develop and hone her entrepreneurial strategy skills. So today with close to 20 years of experience, she is not only a seasoned researcher but is also able to combine insights with business strategy requirements.
For the team, she is a repository of knowledge and someone who leads from the front. Even after so many years, she still brings in the same levels of passion, energy, curiosity and enthusiasm for each project. Unflappable in crisis, egalitarian in her approach, soft-spoken and with an infectious laughter- she leads as well as belongs!
After completing her Masters, she embarked on her market research career with Nielsen. In a career span of over 14 years, she has had a rich and diverse experience of handling quantitative and qualitative research as well as being part of the Consumer Insights team in large organizations viz. Aircel, GPI and Lupin. Along with her diverse experience which gives her a well-rounded perspective, she also brings a solid work ethic to the table.
Shubhra is that ball of energy, who leads from the front- driving the teams to consistently deliver, and more. And yet, never one to lose her sense of humour. She is a total people’s person– She is the method in our madness!
After completing her MBA from Symbiosis in 1998, Aparna went on to garner consumer brand experience across a wide spectrum of sectors viz. Durables, Automobiles, FMCG, Mass media. She draws upon her learnings from Advertising, Brand Management, Sales & Distribution, Marketing, Ad-Film Production and Consulting, to bring a sharp and nuanced marketing perspective to classical research and recommendation frameworks.
With Aparna, there is never a dull moment. Free spirited and feisty, she has what it takes to get the work done – no challenge is too daunting and no task too onerous. She is able to get to the root of the business issue, give a sharp and nuanced perspective - and all in the manner of an adept story teller!
An Engineer & MBA, Amit has risen quickly during his tenure of 6 years to head the branch. His high standards of professionalism and work ethos have helped him to adeptly handle both research and branch responsibilities. He has worked across categories, with special focus on fashion, technology and youth studies. Though soft spoken and reserved, he is a completely different person during consumer interactions!
Someone who speaks only as much required, Amit is grounded, conscientious and extremely focused on this work. Always dapper- he believes in the simplicity of Being Active, Being Happy, Being Diligent and Being Healthy! A tall order for others to emulate.
A post-graduate, Pradeep handles the entire operations and field teams – both internal and external. With an experience of over 18 years, he has earned his spurs in the battlefield of market research, having worked for the notable stalwarts. He has been with Coral since inception, and continues to drive its operations effectively and efficiently.
Pradeep is the backbone of Coral! Behind the almost benign exterior lies the exact opposite of that. A ‘Never say No’ attitude, it his positivity and resourcefulness that is insipiring. A taskmaster, multi-tasker he sets the stage for the researchers to ‘perform’ effectively.
With an MBA in Finance and an experience of over 15 years, Mridul has been handling the entire finance and tax functions for Coral, since inception. But that’s not all – he also sees to the welfare of the researchers when they travel on their projects or when they are distraught over IT related problems.
Mridul is extremely supportive, yet a stickler for process. Always approachable, one gets to witness his own brand of child-like enthusiasm and infectious energy, which galvanizes the entire team, especially during festivities and office trips!
Qualified in integrated marketing communication, Tushar is a blend of thinker and doer with an extremely sharp ‘research-radar’. Passionate about his work, he is often burning the midnight oil over studies spread across categories and research problems. His desire to deep dive and explore, helps bring in a more nuanced perspective, thus contributing to the richness of the output.
Tushar is driven by curiosity, and the need to learn. He has a keen interest in the world around him- and is a storyteller by heart. Politically aware, he is truly a part of the ‘woke’ generation!
A B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication, Divyata has taken to qualitative research like a duck takes to water. A people’s person, she has the knack to get people comfortable and talking, thereby making for rich consumer interaction sessions. She handles key clients in the FMCG, Apparel and Technology categories.
Divyata makes the office a brighter and happier space. She has taken charge of the teams social wellbeing and sees to it that festivals are celebrated, birthday cakes are cut and smeared, parties are organized – after all, All Work and No Play, is not the Coral Way!
